It is not a rubber-tired wheel, for Rotary carries no passengers. It is not a smooth wheel dependent upon friction for its driving power, but a gear wheel, with cogs designed for service. The cogs may be likened to the members, each with a part in the work to be done, and constantly in mesh with the other cogs. The cogs are held together by the rim, which is the Club. The spokes, which connect the members to their Club, are the meetings, coming at regular intervals.
