Hello baby!

Description: page 9 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 600 to 623Summary: Last week another Rotary publication, "Mandala," an organ of the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan (No. 7008 under the 81st District) made its debut. Editor Cesar E. Vergara and Business Manager Lucas S. Ramirez ("Ramy") have made several trips to Manila and spent days dressing up and primping their baby. She turned out to be one of the nicest pieces of editorial workmanship we've ever laid our eyes on. She (we hope her god-parents don't object to the pronoun) is dedicated to the formal inauguration of the Cabanatuan Chapter as a Rotary Club but unfortunately on account of the typhoon who swished her windy skirts around northern Luzon the inauguration ceremonies were postponed to a later date. The name "Mandala" is derived from the Tagalog word which means the beautiful cone-shaped figure of God's Bounty depicting the season's yield of palay from the Good Earth. To Cesar and "Ramy" for their conscientiousness our congratulations!
