The Rotary Balita no. 626 (August 4, 1949).

Various committees have already met to draw up their programs of activities for this year. From the way the committees are working and the special zeal and enthusiasm of their chairmen and members, the prospects for the new year of Rotary activity appear bright. Among the first committees to call its members is the Fellowship Committee. This committee met in the home of Chairman Doc Ayesa before the Rotary year began and perfected its plans to bring about more fellowship in the Club. A second meeting of this committee was held recently in the home of the Vice-Chairman, Tony Anton. Ted Hall's Community Service Committee has a varied program of activities for the year. New sub-committees, namely: the Handicapped Persons Placement Committee, City Beautification Committee, and Beggars Committee have been created. Juanito Nakpil has been appointed as the new Vice- Chairman of Ted Hall. The Community Service Committee has agreed to hold monthly meetings to implement its program. To carry out the policy of having a well-balanced program of Rotary activity this year, the first weekly programs have been sponsored by the various committees: the first by the International Service Committee; the second by the Club Service Committee; and the third by the Vocational Service Committee. At the last meeting, the employees of Rotarians were honored by their employers during the meeting. We shall hear from other committees in subsequent issues of the BALITA.
