<br/><br/> On April 17, 1704, John Campbell issued the Boston News Letter, a weekly halfsheet, folio. This was the first regular newspaper in North America. It lasted 72 years. It had one predecessor, Publick Occurrences, in 1690, but that was suppressed after one issue and hence did not qualify as a newspaper of regular circulation.   Another way to express Rotary's thoughts: "Woe is the man who cannot respect his work,"  And another: "The path of 'what will I get out of it?' leads up a blind alley to failure."-SUNSHINE.   Said a little boy to his mother: "The people next door must be very poor."  His mother asked why he thought so.  Replied the boy: "Because they make so much fuss over the baby swallowing a peseta."-SUNSHINE.  Most promotions are won outside the 8-hour work day.  Only a comparative few recognize opportunity, because it is disguised as hard work.  I thatched my roof when the sun was shining, and now I am not afraid of the storm.  Too many people quit looking for work when they find a job.
