When President "Perce" and Mrs. Hodgson leave Manila, they will carry with them not only the good wishes of all Rotarians in the Philippines for a happy trip and a safe return to their home in the United States, but also remembrance gifts from the 48th District and from each individual Rotary Club in the District and from Governor and Mrs. "Emy" Javier personally. The 48th District comprising all the Rotary Clubs in the Philippines is presenting: To President "Perce" - Two "barong tagalog" shirts, one decorated with small Filipino flags and the other with small American flags. To Edith- One painting of herself by Amorsolo and one mestiza evening dress. The Rotary Club of Manila is presenting: To President "Perce" - A painting of himself by Amorsolo. The Inner Wheel Club of Manila, composed of Manila Rotary Anns, is presenting: One piƱa luncheon set. Governor and Mrs. "Emy" Javier are presenting: One large Moro brass tray and one Moro shield containing Moro weapons. The other Rotary Clubs of the 48th District are also presenting remembrance gifts to President and Mrs. Hodgson.
