The International Exposition planned in Manila early next year is fast taking shape. Secretary of Commerce Cornelio "Balmy" Balmaceda, the man behind the exposition, explained it all before the Advertising Club and their guests last week. Francisco "Paquing" Benitez, a chip of the old block, was very proud last week of a driver of one of his Redi-taxis. The driver, Victoriano Español, returned to a passenger a wallet containing valuable papers. A Redi driver was the recipient of the Rotary award for honesty in 1951. Our Jorge "George" B. Vargas is a member of an award committee for the Fran- cisco Benitez Memorial Awards. The committee recently announced that the memorial awards, dedicated to the advancement of rural areas, will be given this year to barrio schools which have done the most to promote food production in their communities. Hans Menzi, president of the firm ber ing his name, left for Guam on a brief business visit. He is due to return to Mana in a few days.
