TY - SER TI - Report of meetings : July 30, 1953 N1 - The Rotary Balita no. 727 (August 13, 1953) N2 - That the free peoples of the world, working together, can stop communist aggression is the lesson that can be gathered from the recent Korean truce, Peter C. Richards, president of Overseas News, Inc. and of the Anti-Communist League of the Philippines, told Manila Rotarians at their luncheon-meeting last July 30. Richards, however, warned that the truce in Korea did not mean that the free peoples can already afford to relax their vigilance. Only through unity and constant alertness can aggression be deterred, he said. "We must build that unity," Richard stressed, "and protect it with determination and great care. We must not let our own petty bickerings over side issues menace that unity of purpose and unity of actions which is vital to the survival of every one of us." ER -
