It is planned that one copy of Rotary's Golden Anniversary film will be sent to each district governor in the appropriate English, French or Spanish edition. This film will be 16 mm., black and white, with an approximate running time of 29-½ minutes. The governor will be expected to handle the routing of the film to the clubs of his district during the Golden Anniversary period. "Shooting" on Rotary's Golden Anniversary film, began in late April in Hollywood, Calif. Tentatively titled The Great Adventure, it features in its role the distinguished motion. picture actor Edward Arnold, who has appear- ed in more than 40 films, from Diamond Jim Brady to Annie Get Your Gun. In another prominent role is Sujata, of the Oriental dance team of Sujata-Asoka, a husband-and-wife partnership whose native land is India. She has been seen in King of the Khyber Rifles, The Merry Widow, and Salome. Jim Backus, young male lead in the popular television show I Married Joan, also plays a large role in the film. The producer is Jerry Fairbanks Pro- ductions of California. The director is Harold Shuster, acclaimed for such films as My Friend Flicka, Wings of the Morning, and The Tender Years. Writer of the film script is Leo S. Rosencrans. Release of Rotary's picture will coincide approximately with the beginning of the Golden Anniversary "Celebration Period-February 23, 1955. No exact figure can be quoted at this time, but the cost will be in the neighborhood of $60.00 per copy, and may be slightly less if sufficient copies are ordered. If 35 mm. prints are desired, the cost will be approximately $150.00
