<br/><br/> Customs Commissioner Manuel "Manny" P. Menahan heads the Red Feather fund and education drive. He also promises to clean the customs of the undesirables.  Arsenio "Arsenic" N. Luz is chairman of the pub Ilicity and education section of the Red Feather Drive.  Luis Ablaza is chairman of the Filipino community division of the drive and expects to score a success.  Ambassador Felino "Lino" Neri, a hero of the reparations agreement conversations, will reveal his trials and tribulations when he addresses the Chamber of Indutries on May 25.  Earl Carroll and his wife were hosts at a party the other night in honor of Florentino Das, Rotary guest recently, who crossed the Pacific in a 24-foot boat.  Jaime "Jim" Hernandez and Dr. Mariano "Ike" C. Icasiano have been busy during the week what with the conventions of engineers and auditors and doctors in Baguio.  Another feather of Colonel Salvador "Badong" Villa's cap as top boss of the once moribund Manila Railroad. The firm has progressed by leaps and bounds during the Colonel's incumbency which many people hope will be for quite some time.  Hans Menzi is one of the founders of the Manila Flying Club organized by aviation enthusiasts recently at the Casino Español.  Wash SyCip was a Cebu visitor early this week. He inspected his firm's branches in the Visayas and Mindanao.  The appeal issued recently by Justice Manuel "Manoling" Lim, and Jose "Joe" P. Bautista, chairman and vice-chairman, respectively, of the Manila Police Trust Fund for contributions to the Fund is reiterated in this issue. The Fund was founded in 1946 during the administration of Mayor Valeriano E. Fugoso and Police Chief Angel M. Tuason (deceased) to help heirs of the MPD members who die in the line of duty.  The Fund has helped create a greater sense of duty among Manila's Finest.  Checks sent to Manila Police Trust Fund, care of Dr. Albino Z. SyCip at the China Banking Corporation or any of the dailies, will be acknowledged in the press.
