The Rotary Balita no. 661 (December 21, 1950).
Dear Santa Claus: Before your whiskers grow any longer, or a shade whiter, please drop a good Rotarian down the chimney at 217 Sandejas, Pasay City, and persuade him to purchase that property as a Christmas gift for his entire family; one they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. It has a big lawn for recreation; a high stone wall for protection; nice neighbors for sociability; close proximity to schools for the kids; a pre-war title for security; fruit trees! and flowers for beauty; plenty of baths, kitchens, closets, shelves, bedrooms and salas for the largest family; all screened for sanitation; tiled terrace for parties; garage space for several cars; and separate accommodations for servants. The house is not fancy; neither is the! price. It will make a comfortable home while another is being built with all the fancy trimmings. He will profit most who will put his pesos in that property, as it will not depreciate in value, as the neighborhood is rapidly improving. Please, Santa, be a good Boy Scout and do this good deed before the year ends. If you do, I'll take you to the Club and get you drunk on free eggnogs. Rotarily yours, "ALVA J"
