Rotary International District 3810, DG Joyce Ambray, PDG Ernesto “Ernest” Yuyek, PP William Uy and I requested for three (3) fire trucks from Rotary International District 2820 of Japan. District 2820 granted our request. Rotary Club of Manila looked for a beneficiary of the two (2) firetrucks while the Rotary Club of Manuel Roxas Boulevard Manila likewise looked for a beneficiary of one (1) firetruck. The three (3) fire trucks arrived at the Subic Port where the amount of Php 380,000 for each fire truck covering ocean freight, taxes, conversion,and registration were paid by the beneficiaries. After a thorough need assessment, the 2 fire trucks were allocated to the Rotary Club of Manila, one of the beneficiaries is the Rotary Club of Pasay Cyber City led by PLP Jun Pasion who paid the said expenses while the other beneficiary was Barangay San Vicente in Biñan, Laguna led by Barangay Chairman Pol Alzona.
