The first club in the Philippines and in Asia.
Founded by Leon Lambert and four other Americans in 1919, starting with 38 original members.
The first meeting was held at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel on January 29, 1919.
The first daughter club was established in Cebu in 1932; the first overseas daughter club was in Guam in 1939.
Arsenio Luz became the first Filipino president in 1933.
General Douglas MacArthur was appointed honorary member in Corregidor on February 2, 1942.
Operations were temporarily suspended during World War II.
Revived on September 13, 1945, maintained an outstanding record of leadership in service to others and to the community according to their sworn duties since its founding.
