Description: page 20 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 624 to 649Summary: Setting Our Goal.---We have just started the new Rotary year. Our most important task at this stage is to plan out the year's program of Rotary activity within the Club. We should set a definite goal for the year. Then we must for- mulate a plan of action to achieve that goal. At the very beginning of the new year, on July 2, to be exact, our new Board of Directors sat in joint meeting with the new Aims and Objects Committee to set the goal and formulate the general plan. This was followed by separate meetings of the four major committees. The main features of the general plan were presented to the Club at the first meeting of the new Rotary year. Club Assembly.---The first club assembly for the year was called on July 19 to deliberate further on the plan and to discuss the manner of its im- implementation. Incidentally the assembly, the first of a series during the Rotary year, served as a full-dress, purely Rotary gathering with which to put into immediate practice the slogan for the year: "KNOW YOUR ROTARY." Success Depends on Every Member---Our Rotary organization makes possible the highest coordination and efficiency in carrying out our common plan. The work is spread out among the various committees. Every member has a share of the work in these committees, so that the whole Club truly functions through the individual members. As every member in each committee works, so the Club will work. The strength of a chain is in every link. Our plans alone will not bring us to our goal. It is the action that we shall put behind the plan that is most important. Balanced, Integrated Program.---The programs in our weekly meetings will be so divided as to give due attention to the promotion of Rotary's four objects. The Aims and Objects Committee will allot the dates accordingly, and the respective committees will work in close cooperation with the Program Committee to assure our having a balanced and well integrated program during the year.Item type | Current library | Call number | Copy number | Status | Barcode | |
