The Rotary Balita No. 724 to 748Summary: Secretary Yan Yanzon has remitted to us copies of some of the resolutions adopted by the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Manila on its meeting of January 7, 1954. Those resolutions that are of general interest to the members are hereby reproduced as remitted. "7. The Secretary read a letter from "Ernie" Mora requesting for reclassification as "Senior Active Member." Finding him qualified for same, the request was approved, but the requirement as to his place of business and residence has to be reviewed. "8. President Ramen Magsaysay, of the Republic of the Philippines, was unanimously elected "Honorary Member" of the Club. "9. On recommendation of the President, the Board approved to appropriate P500.00 with which to finance the repair of the watch tower landmark at the Muralla fronting the City Hall. Director "Doc" Ayesa, Chairman of the Parks Project Committee, accepted the responsibility to take charge of this project. (The Board was informed that Don Rafael Roces has offered to defray one-half of the cost of the expenses of this project on condition that his share remain anonymous.) "11. The Board took cognizance of the following Rotarians who signified willingness to attend the 1951 R.I. Convention in Seattle: a) Pad Padua ... letter of 21 Dec. 1953 b) Gaudy Antonino " " 28 Dec. 1953 The Board agreed on the following priorities in the designation of delegates and alternates to this Convention: 1) Officers and Directors of the Club 2) Members in the order of their communication indicating desire to attend."
