Minister and Mrs. Ali Baig and leading members of the Indian community thought of a fine gesture on Jan. 26, Indian Independence Day. They visited hospitals and gave gifts to the needy patients. Hermogenes R. "Ene" Dimagiba, past president of the Malolos Rotary Club, was appointed by President Magsaysay as member of the board of directors of the Price Stabilization Corporation. "Ene" is vice-president and manager of the Plaridel Surety and Insurance Company in Manila. "Jim" Hernandez will endear the government and himself to the tax-paying public should he be able to remove apparent hardships which the in- come tax law imposes on the public. Larger allowance for children will be most welcome. "Pete" Teodoro, with the aid of others, was host to Japanese tourist advocates this week. "Hans" Menzi, President "Danding" Romualdez, "Fary" Farolan, and "Jimmy" Velasquez were other Rotarians tied up with tourism.
