There's a Difference! - There are four kinds of membership in Rotary. They are active (including additional active); honorary; past service; and senior active. Some Rotarians confuse kinds of membership with classifications. They refer to senior active membership or past service membership as classifications -- they are no more classifications than are active membership or honorary membership. The business or profession in which a man is engaged determines his classification in his Rotary club. The classification of each active member is that which covers the principal and recognized activity of the firm, company, or institution with which he is connected, or if he be independently engaged in business or profession, his classification is that which covers his principal and recognized business or professional activity.
