The Rotary Balita no. 695 (May 8, 1952)
Bakersfield Does It Again!-On the 31st of January, we received a letter from Ray Taylor, past governor of District 158 and chairman of the Rotary Foundation activities in that district, enclosing a check for $10,000 as a second contribution from Rotarian Forrest Frick of the Rotary Club of Bakersfield. We previously announced a similar contribution of $10,000 from Rotarian Frick in December of 1950. Thus, from the Rotary Club of Bakers- field, we have had contributions from three members totaling $50,000 as follows: Henry J. Brandt, $20,000; Forrest Frick, $20,000; Frank Jeppi, $10,000. In addition, the Rotary Club of Bakersfield with 169 members has made contributions of $2,230, making a grand total of $52,230 received so far from that Club, or 3,090% of a quota of $10.00 per member.
