The Rotary Balita no. 661 (December 21, 1950).

Carlos P. Romulo and William P. Lane were introduced as Raby Rotarians one week in February, 1931. Today "Baby" Romulo is one of the Big Wheel in the United Nations and when he speaks, the Western world hear the voice of Asia. - Rotarians were asked, in the BALITA of March 17, 1932, to encourage their sons to exchange stamps with the sons of other Rotarians everywhere else in the world. A good idea, we say, and we hope the present crop of Rotarians would do the same thing. - November 19, 1931 found Dean Francisco Benitez giving a talk on his visit to the Institute of Pacific Relations. Only recently Dean Benitez was honored by the alumni of the U.P. college of education which he has capably headed, oh, for so long! - Father Selga, the greatest authority on the Philippine weather, was the speaker on September 13, 1928. You guess it, his talk was on the weather and the needs of the weather bureau. - A visiting Rotarian, Major "Bill" Wilderming, was fined one peso on August 21, 1930 because his badge was not properly displayed. At the next Rotary meeting, Major Wilderming brought a sack, which, when opened, was found to contain 100 bright,. new one-centavo pieces. Smart guy!
