Summary, etc. | On August 22, 1929, Manila Rotary was hepped on the idea of tourism. A tourist campaign was being planned. Governor-General Davis talked about it. Club President C.W. Franks announced it as a prime club project. The articles of incorporation of the Tourist Association were approved by the Bureau of Commerce and Industry in the record-breaking time of less than a half day. Our cable address was ROCLOB. The Rotary office was at 507 Chaco Building. Three program chairmen, each responsible for the meetings of four months, were Art Fischer, Harry Cranston, and Candy Cresap. |
