| Summary, etc. | The Manila Rotary Club and The Inner Wheel Club met in a joint luncheon for the first time at the Riviera today. It was a very gay affair, what with husbands and wives joining in to give the occasion a real "family" touch. A special feature was the distribution of Rotary handkerchiefs with Rotarians' nicknames embroidered in them. The program immediately followed the luncheon, assisted by the usual combination of speeches, vocals and declamations, namely: PROGRAM 1. Welcome address by Rotary Ann Euge nia Puyat, President, The Inner Wheel Club of Manila. 2. Piano Selection by Prof. Marcelino V. Carluen, Manila Rotary Club Pianist. 3. Vocal Solo by Rotary Ann Martha Hill. 4. Vocal Solo by Past Pres. Ned Hali, 5. Piano Selection by Rotary Ann Felicia Tanco, Secretary, The Inner Wheel Club of Manila. 6. Vocal Solo by Rotarian Joe Barredo. 7. Spanish Declamation by Rotary Ann Dolores Ordoveza. 8. Piano Selection by Ben Legarda, V.P., Rotary Club of Manila. 9. Vocal Solo by Rotary Ann Eugenia Puyat. 10. Duet by Rotarians Ned Hall and Joe Barredo. 11. Response by Balmy Balmaceda, Pres., Rotary Club of Manila. |
