| Summary, etc. | Dashing hero of today's program was easily Aurelio S. Estanislao, Jr. who with a clean sweet singing voice achieved what some Rotary speakers failed to do. A scholar of the U. P. Conservatory of Music Aurelio has decided to apply for Rotary fellowship, and towards this end, he was advised to display his wares. The Club applauded and with gusto. The boy had feeling, tone and clarity. We could put on airs of a music critic but the setting of the affair was a little too prosaic. The different booths of the Nat'l. Business Ex-position gaped at us, and from the corner of our eyes, we caught glimpses of Erlanger & Galinger, Smith Bell & Co., Burroughs, IBM, and Marsman & Co. What really enlivened the hour was the demonstration by different experts of the latest but just the latest, in accounting machines. More power to you, boys! Way back in the grades school when teacher forbade us to use our fingers for addition, I remember having made use of my toes! And before we forget, happy birthday to Raf. Dedal. |
