520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. I am submitting in compliance with your letter to all Presidents and Secretaries the following Club History: The Cotabato Rotary Club, sponsored by the Da- vao Rotary Club, was organized on February 7, 1951 with 25 charter members with Dr. Ramon "Ram" Pimentel as first temporary President. On July 1, 1951, District Judge Juan "Johnny" Sarenas was elected as our first regular President, and the charter was presented on October 6, 1951 with Vice-President Fernando Lopez as our guest of honor. Past Governor "Nanding" Manalo presented the charter. Past Governor "Tingting" Fael- nar delivered the key speech. Previously published Club Histories: Dumaguete - Balita of April 29 Bacolod - Balita of May 27 Cabanatuan - Balita of June 10 Cagayan de Misamis - Balita of June 21 Cavite - Balita of July 8 On February 27, 1952, Dr. "Ram" Pimentel was elected President and inducted into office on July 1, 1952. On that year our club received the award from the Award Committee of the District Conference for Vocational Service. The membership that year reached 36. On February 26, 1953, Col. Dionisio "Done" Gutierrez was elected President and inducted into office on July 1, 1953. Our province was so badly hit by the damages caused by rat infestation that business depression has gone down to a low ebb, so much so that even our club was affected not only through transfer of members to other places but particularly by business depression. Thus, our club member however, has been reduced to only 22 now with several prospective members or baby Rotarians soon to be inducted into regular membership.
