520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Rotarians believe first that any job, even in this machine age, offers opportunity for 100% service to one's fellows and that any job should be regarded in this light. Rotary also imposes the obligation to study the problems of the day and to form a reasoned opinion on them, exercising thus an influence on public opinion. Rotary should not, however, harness itself to any movement, however worthy that movement might be. Rotarians are specially well placed to develop international-mindedness, with which come tolerance. Finally, Rotary depends almost entirely on the quality of its individual members, who can meet the world's need of friendship and fellowship. -HERBERT SCHOFIELD, Esq., Past Vice-President, R. I. |
