| Summary, etc. | If we think of Christmas less as a time for expenses and for expecting gifts and more as a time for prayer and giving, not so much in kind but in spirit, it would be a holier as well as merrier Christmas. For there can be no Christmas unless the heart is touched, and the heart cannot be touched by silver or gold. That can be done only with love. Family, friends, humanity - and this include even our enemies are the stuff of which Christmas is made. There is 119 greater bonds than love which when it binds one man to another makes peace. The message of Christmas is peace to men of good will. Only the men of good will can have peace, for where there is indifference, envy or hatred there can be no love. There can, therefore, be no peace. Let us, hence, wish in our heart a Merry Christmas to all and after that a New Year which follows with all the booms of a good- [omitted] |
