Summary, etc. One of the most significant international developments lately are the series of moves on the part of Soviet Russia which, while they are open to question with regard to sincerity, could actually mean the end of the cold war and the beginning of peace. The most important of such moves is the resumption of the truce talks in Korea for which the exchange of prisoners of war paved the way. The world has sought peace for so long and, in its anxiety, it has repeatedly been rebuffed to the point that it has become skeptical. The coming of peace is too good to be true. It is hard to believe after Communist truculence has become notorious that it could still come. But the fact remains that there is a chance to win the peace and we must not miss it. If it proves to be another hoax, at least we could console ourselves that we did not let a possible
