Summary, etc. | ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. May 28 (May 29 Manila) INS - Frank E. Spain of Birmingham, Ala., was elected president today of Rotary International. Spain, an attorney and insurance executive, succeeded Arthur Laguex of Quebec, Canada, at the 43rd annual convention of the service organization. ----- Every man has two education that which is given to him, and the other, that which he gives himself. Of the two kinds, the latter is by far the more valuable. Indeed, all that is most worthy in a man, he must work out and conquer for himself. It is that which constitutes our real and best nourishment. What we are merely taught seldom nourishes the mind like that which we teach ourselves. - JEAN-PAUL RICHTER, I.B.M. |
