| Summary, etc. | The board of directors of R.I. has authorized. the production of a moving picture, based on Rotary, for use as one of the outstanding Golden Anniversary features. The film, tentatively titled "The Great Adventure", is now in production, and will be 27-1/2 minutes in length, 16 mm., in sound. English, French and Spanish versions will be available for distribution throughout the Rotary world in plenty of time for showing in each district during the Anniversary period. The cast, featuring among others, Scandinavian, Indian, Japanese, Australian, Brazilian and North American characters, will help to give the film an international flavor. The story will portray the Rotary program in a manner which will be of interest to Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike. Because of its adaptability to television, it is estimated that the film will be viewed by an audience. reaching into the millions. The story is being treated in such a way that the film will be "undated", giving it an almost endless circulation value. |
