520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. J. P. McEvoy, guest speaker last March 18, not only entertained Rotarians with short, snappy examples of his world-fame humor, but he also cautioned against impatience in the solution of some of the Philippines national problems. The roving Readers' Digest editor said that "only time can solve" some of this country's problems. He is here to gather materials for articles he will write for the Digest. "Gene" Puyat came out president of the Club in the elections held at the March 18th meeting. He succeeds Danding Romualdez who guided the Rotary for one fruitful year, 1953-54. Others elected together with "Gene" were Jonby Carlos, vice-president; and Jack Preysler, Dean Benitez, Monching del Rosario, and Ramon Ordoveza. Miss Nenita Tomas, Rotary Foundation scholar for this year, thanked Rotarians for her selection. She is a graduate of Adamson University (George and Alex Adamson were fined for that) and will take her graduate studies in chemical engineering at the University of California at Los Angeles.
