The Rotary Balita no. 624 (July 7, 1949).

The keynote and theme of our Rotary administration this year will be "KNOW YOUR ROTARY". I invite every Rotarian to get the full spirit of this simple slogan. The first essential to being a good Rotarian is to know Rotary well-know the full import of its ideal of service, know its aims and objects by heart, know its history and progress, know and appreciate the meaning of Rotary friendship and fellowship, and know how to live and put into practice the ideals and principles of Rotary. We cannot expect to implement and attain successfully the four worthy objects of Rotary unless we know Rotary well. Time spent in reading our Rotary literature is time well spent. Ask our secretary to supply you more of the latest literature published by Rotary International. Rotary functions through different committees. Our new committee assignments for this year have already been announced, and I wish to convey my thanks to all for accepting their assignments in rue Rotary spirit. I would like to request the Committee Chairmen who have not yet convened their respective committees to please call a meet- ng as soon as possible in order to get started. The new Rotary year is on!
