The Contest, headed by Paul Parrette with 'With Rebu in llida and Pete Teodoro as members, d, cided the following winners: 1st PRIZE - GOOD LUCK Last April when I was ready to fence for I went to the Central Rank to apply for my teg,el. hag expenses and immediately obtained ass,0,0 for an absence of 2 months. While in N.Y. city I purchased roughly $5001100.00 of cigarettes and shipped at once without any trouble. The Import License was issued teithout any delay and before I returned to Manila the cigarettes were sold at S!.500,000.00 profit. I was eery pleased.- "LOU" , RIFKIN 2nd PRIZE - BYGONES ARE BYGONES A man incited a friend from his hometown into Iris house for dinner. He prepared the dishes very well and these were no inciting that he forgot that the soup was still hot, started to serve it. Tears appeared in his eyes. His visitor asked him why he teas crying but he answered that lee re-nwatbered his dead brother. The guest not knotting that the soup was hot started to eat, but being hot tears appeared in his eyes also. When the host asked hint why he was crying also, the guest answered, "I remember your dog-gone brother, too."--"ROLFING" GONZALEZ 3rd PRIZE - THE TRANSPARENT FLAGPOLE During college I worked each summer in Yellowstone Park. Many tourists wanted to know how deep was the tube of Old Faithful geyser. No one knew the etagere, So I went to Yellowstone Park in Ow winter when the geysers were frozen up. Using an all derrick from Texas I pulled up the icicle out of the tube to measure it. We then planted it in the ground to use as n flagpole, and there it stands today.
