By: Description: page 27-28 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 700 to 723Summary: Dr. Gumersino "Gumer" Garcia, fundraiser, par excellence is in the throes of another collection drive. He is the chairman of the committee to collect ₱70,000 for the carillon for the University of the Philippines, of which "Gumer" is an alumnus. "Dean" (he's always dean to many of us, despite the fact that he's already a college president) Leoncio "Elbi" Monzon, president of the MLQSL, points with pride to numerous crates which arrived recently, containing biological supplies and equipment for his school. For using the Wikang Pambansa (national language to you) during his induction, President Hans Menzi was praised in a public pulse letter by a champion of Tagalor, J.R. de Leon. Francisco "Paquing" Benitez, the worthy scion of a worthy father, is busy right now expanding his fleet of Redi taxicabs. By the way, more Redi taxicab riders have been commended for their honesty than any others. "Paquing" impresses upon his drivers the value of courtesy, honesty, and service. Bienvenida to Benito "Ben" Legarda who came back recently from a trip abroad.
