Mercen: "Nina, may I see your needlework?" "Oh! what a clever design. A poeched egg?" Nina:"er..... it's a sunset....!" ----- AMONGST US GIRLS... CONFIDENTIALLY SPEAKING A husband is like a new car: if you take care of him you won’t have to be getting a new one all the time. When a girl and a fellow kiss and make up, she gets the kiss and he gets the make-up. The marriage vows would be more accurate if the phrase read: “Until debt do us part.” Girls at bridge parties are up to be smarties. The other day one of them said to another: “I wonder what men talk about when there are no ladies present.” “Oh probably the same things we do,” was the reply. Another of the girls piped up and exclaimed: “They ought to be ashamed of themselves.”Item type | Current library | Call number | Status | Barcode | |
