The Rotarian
In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 613 to 623Summary: An attorney was addressing the judge. "If it please the Court," he was saying, "this client admits that his arm reached through an open window and took a few trifles. He did not break in, he did not enter the place. I submit that it was the arm that took the few articles and not the body. The client should not be responsible for what just this arm does." "Well put," said the judge, "and I will so consider that fact and sentence the arm to one year's imprisonment. If the owner of it cares to go with the arm, that's up to him." "Thank you, Judge," spoke up the law violator, "I'll be seeing you. Look for me when time's up." Carefully unstrapping his cork arm he gently laid it on the judge's desk and walked out.Item type | Current library | Call number | Status | Barcode | |
