Edition: February 3, 1949 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 600 to 623Summary: February the third's closed meeting began with ballots and ended with our own Bible-quoting poetry-spouting Emy Javier romp- ing away with the enviable honor of being the next district governor for good old Eighty-first. Brother Rotarian Villa-oh-Villa- ch-yes-that's-the-tune Villacorta, who suggested student guests for every meeting in order to help young 'uns decide on which following to pursue, cited how such a plan smoothly works in the United States; and why not here, therefore? Sonia's Lou Rifkin of the pearl buttons (fine him!) however went further by suggesting that there be created a Junior Rotary to precisely sponsor this sort of movement. Vince Bunuan, whom we forgot to mention as having won the cup for being the most distinguished Rotarian of the year, sat sweetly in a corner and nodded his consent to such brilliant outbursts of genius.
