Young Rotary peoples pen pals
Description: page 14-15 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 624 to 649Summary: One of the purposes of your International Service Committee is to encourage correspondence between Philippine Rotary Club children and the children of Rotarians throughout the world. We know there is sufficient carry-over of the feeling of interest of the parents in Rotary to stimulate also their children. You are, therefore, encouraged and urged to have your children, both boys and girls, write friendly letters of greetings to Rotary children. Place the letters in an envelope and indicate that the letter is intended for a "Rotarian Boy (or girl) in designated country." Your International Committee will forward the letter to a club in such country, or even a particular city paying the postage. Letters can be in English or Spanish, or other languages as indicated. We urge a prompt and numerous reply to this suggestion and feel sure that our own Rotary children will be well rewarded through the answers they will eventually receive to their initial correspondence. We now have the Inner Wheel Club for Rotary Anns and will try to build an International Club of Rotary children. This effort if successful could bring marked favorable comment toward Philippines Rotary in general. It is, of course, thoroughly in keeping with UNO and Rotary precepts of world wide friendships and understanding.Item type | Current library | Call number | Copy number | Status | Barcode | |
