This eminent musician has not only afforded art-starved Manilans priceless of opportunities to hear the best in music but h has also endeavored with a measure of success to place this art form within access the average purse. of With its regular concerts and local Pop Concert, the MSO has rendered signal ser ice to the community in the field of artistic and cultural development. Its latest enter- prise is the Beethoven Festival whose mag- nitude, considering the very limited facili- ties of the university auditorium used ersatz a real theatre, was a challenge. Be- tween the orchestra and the choral ensem- ble, the FEU stage was awfully inadequate. But the success was there, and a popular presentation of the performance is planned. The MSO needs the support of all cosmopolitan Manila and the Rotary could do its bit, not only for the continued development of this art form but also for the eventual erection of a temple worthy of art.
