Description: page 23-24 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 699 to 723Summary: 4947 Marathon St. Hollywood 29, California August 15, 1952 Arturo V. Tanco Secretary, Rotary Club of Manila Manila, Philippines Dear Arturo: I greatly appreciate the action of the Board of Directors in reelecting me an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Manila. Kindly convey my thanks to President Hans and the other members of the Board of Directors. This year found my steps in another direction than the Philippines. In other words, I attended. the Conference of District 103 as the guest of the Puerto Rican Rotarians. My visit coincided with the creation of the new political entity, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. On the way to Puerto Rico, I was privileged to address a number of large Rotary Clubs including Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona; El Paso and Hour ton, Texas; and New Orleans, La. They are good clubs. Yet I doubt that any of them equal, fat less surpass Manila in fellowship, enthusiasm, and activities. I may be prejudiced but I consider Manila one of the great Rotary Clubs of the world -a real leader in all respects. 'I was fortunate enough to return to Hollywood just prior to the arrival here of Governor Ben It was a real pleasure visiting with him and his charming wife and daughter. My greetings, hearty and sincere to my fellow Rotarians. Cordially, (Sgd.) GEORGE A. MALCOLMItem type | Current library | Call number | Status | Barcode | |
