Editorial : The Rotary Balita no. 691 / "Ernie" Del Rosario

By: Description: page 2 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 675 to 698Summary: A shadow fell over the happy occasion of the anniversary of Rotary last week when Ramon J. Araneto, "Monching" to us, passed away to reap the reward of a life lived in the tradition of Rotary. For "Monching" was a true Rotarian and in him was manifested to the highest degree the spirit of "Service Above Self" which animates those who have taken this norm of conduct for their own. "He profits most who serves best." "Monching" served most and to the best of his ability. He has profited the reward of a good life. He died in peace and he shall have peace forever. As a businessman, civic conscious citizen and good father of big family: as a friend, companion and benefactor, "Monching" Araneta was equal to every measure of a man. If he is no longer with us, the good example that was his life remains among us. Rotary as well as his family has suffered a great loss with the demise of "Monching" Araneta, but he will not be forgotten.
