The Rotary Balita no. 695 (May 8, 1952)

The election of Mrs. Fely Tanco as new president the Inner Wheel Club of Manila, the naming of rs. Pomping Anton as outstanding Rotary Ann the year and an earnest appeal by Mayor Arse Lacson for help in his efforts to solve the squatter problem of Manila, were three of the many highlights of the luncheon-meeting of the Inner Heel last April 24 at the Manila Overseas Press Club. Manila Mayor Lacson. and Mrs. Lacson were special guests during the affair, which marked the third birthday of the Inner Wheel. Other guests included Mrs. Margaret Spruance, wife of the American ambassador, and Mrs. J. M. Bateman, otary Ann from Perth, West Australia, who is here on a brief stopover. Mrs. Bateman was accompanied by Mrs. Anderson, also of Australia.
