By: Description: page 20-22 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 699 to 723Summary: EA Perkins, one of the few practicing American attorneys, was a host to a party he gave recently in Baguio in his capacity as a mining man (Consolidated Mining Ca). Joe Orosa and Ponce Enrile were among the Rotarian guests. KC Wu did himself proud in the recent inauguration amid the millionaires' mansions in Forbes Park of a branch of the Acme Super Market. Conrado Benitez who is abroad again may be the father of a woman senator. His daughter Helena is slated for senator on the LP ticket. Tiving Lovina is one of the aspirants for a senatorial garb. He has had enough of the ICC which is folding up by operation of law at the end of this month. Ramon Ordoveza thinks he deserves a rest abroad after successfully running the affairs of the Philippine Columbian Association. So, he is leaving soon for the US on business and pleasure trip, mostly pleasure. Pablito Lorenzo was quick to correct a misleading letter from one of the taxpayers last week. The taxpayer wanted to know what is wrong with the mails. Lorem said nothing and proved it, too. AlvaJ Hill, another American lawyer, is busy these days, in preparation for the forthcoming American Legion convention. Charles H. (CX) Clark, RCA vice-president, was host at cocktails the other night in his Roberts, Pasay City, home. An RCA executive was the guest of honor, but as usual many Rotarians were around to congratulate CX on his promotion.
