The Rotary Balita no. 722 (June 4, 1953)

On May 18, 1953, our Fellowship Committee, Yan Yanzon, chairman, entertained Singapore Rotarian A. W. Frisby, Governor-elect of R. I. District No. 80, with jurisdiction over eight Rotary Clubs of the Fe derated Malay States, Sarawak, Siam, and Singapore. Governor-elect "Fris" attended the R. I. Assembly at Lake Placid where he met our Governor-elect Art Ilagan. Unable to at tend the Paris R. I. 44th Convention, "Fris" returned to Singapore passing through Manila for a 24-hour sojourn. Our Fellowship Committee, despite a hurried notice, was able to arrange for a small luncheon in his honor, and took him around the City for a brief sightseeing.
