On the 15th of November, Henry J. Brandt, past president of the Rotary Club of Bakersfield, California, indicated his desire to make a gift of $20,000 to the Foundation to express his appreciation of the opportunities the United States had given to him, a native of Denmark. Henry said, "I know of no other work that Rotary is doing that will lead to more international goodwill." Rotary International hopes to reach the $2,000,000 goal before the end of 1951. Fellowship Orchids Willie Dy Buncio's committee that arranged the diverting meeting last week was chairmanned by Manny de Leon, with Paco Delgado, Totti Eraiia, and Mike Arnold as assistants. Help The Sun To Shine "If we don't know he's sick, how can we visit him?" That's what the Sunshine Committee say. So if you hear of illness among Rotarians, pass the word to Mike Arnold, Ralph Rebullida, or Tim Certeza. Santa's Helpers Rotarians responsible for our 1950 Christmas party are: General Chairman - Paul Parrette Decorations, seating, and serving - Charlie Palanca Program - Long Ortigas Gifts - Morrie Hall, Paco Delgado, and Charlie Hollmann Publicity - Pete Teodoro and Gary Yupang Loud speaker and lighting - Tony Anton Carols - Karl Kreutz Santa's impressario and valet - Joe Barredo and Yan Yanzon Planner Hans Menzi plans to go to the States next week with the plan of arranging a permanent outlet for the ramie he plans to raise on 6,000 hectares of land he plans to farm in Mindanao.
