Can the Club open the minor classifications of "Law-Civil," "Law -Criminal," "Law-Commercial"? No. These minor classifications cannot be opened for membership inasmuch as there is already a member under "General Law Practice" which covers all the specialized branches of law. To admit new members under any of the specialized branches of law, such as "Law-Civil" when there is already a member under the classification of "General Law classifications. (Outline of Classifications, page 102) If a Minister of a Protestant Chari devoting more than 60% of his time to religious education or some youth activity, what should his classification be, "Ed tion" or "Religion"? The Minister of the Protestant Church should be classified as "Christianity-Protestant" under the major classification "Religion." Classifications are not established on the basis of functions or position of individuals in firms or institutions, but rather on the basis of the principal business or service of such firms or institutions. Can a member under the classification "Christianity-Protestant" propose for educational active membership the minister of e other Protestant Church? No. The additional active member must be an executive in the same firm, or organization or institution with which the proposer is connected. For the purposes of classification, how would the business of manufacturing and marketing rubberized clothing and footwear be classified? Rubberized clothing and footwear marketing should be classified under the major classification of "Clothing Industry." With the exception of rubberized clothing, footwear and the tire and tire tube business, all other manufacturing and marketing of rubber goods should be classified under the major classification of Rubber Industry. Can the minor classification of "Banking" be subdivided into "Commercial" and "Savings Banking"? In those few communities where exclusive savings banking businesses are to be found, it may be necessary if the club is to come in complete contact with the financial business of the community, to subdivide this minor classification into "Commercial Banking" and "Savings Banking." (Outline of Classifications, page 60, see note on "Banking") What would be the proper classification for a "Capitalist" whose major of investing and reinvesting his own properties? The proper classification would be “Capital Investment" instead of "Capitalist” used by some clubs. The business of the individual or e underwriting security issues with his ori own capital is covered by "Invest Banking." (Outline of Classifications, page 60, note on "Investment Banking.") In the event that the terminology “Investment Banking" conflicts with the law regulating Banking, can other terminology be used? Yes. Can the classification "Loans" under the major classification of "Finance" be subdivided? To come in full contact with the loan business of a community, a club may find it necessary to subdivide this minor classification by establishing minor classifications for those complete, independent, and nonconflicting money lending or or financing businesses which confine their loans to a DEFINITE and LIMITED class of security, as, for example, "Farm Loans," "Automobile Financing," "Loans-Instalments" and so on. (Outline of Classifications, page 61, see note on "Loans") What kind of business does "Savings and Loan Companies" cover? This minor classification covers the business of all savings and loan companies of which the mutual building and loan association of a community is typical. Sitting at a table outside of the di room at a recent Rotary meeting were Rolfing Gonzalez, Juanito Nakpil and Gil Puyat and a discussion arose amongst them to the superiority of their respective professions. "The first action in history was a surgical operation," Dr. Rolfing exclaimed "The human race was started when the A mighty extracted a rib from Adam and fashioned Eve out of it." "Not at all!" Juanito, our leading architect said, "for before that, order had been created out of chaos obviously the work of an architect, hence the expression the Divine Architect."" "I agree with you," said Gil, our youngest politician, "but that primival chaos who could have produced it if not a politician?"
