The Rotary Balita no. 706 (October 9, 1952)

On October 1st, 1952, the District Conference Committee held its first meeting at the home of Chairman "Tony" Anton with a succulent dinner preceding it. The Chairmen of the different committees were appointed as follows: Attendance Promotion - Chairman, Yan Yanzon; Boy Scouts- President Hans offered his services to obtain the cooperation of the boy scouts; Decorations-This matter was left to President Hans and Tony Anton who offered the services of his Lebran Art Department; Entertainment - Chairman, Willie Dy Buncio and member, Manny de Leon; Housing - Chairman, Carding Nicolas of Malolos Rotary; Printing - Ramon Ordoveza; and Transportation - Chairman, David Sycip. The conference will take place at the Manila Hotel and the Governor's Ball will be held at the Manila Polo Club. As per resolution of the committee, it was recommended to the board of directors that all Manila Rotarians be required to enlist for registration. The registration fee will be P30.00 for Rotarians and P20.00 for Rotary Anns.
