Horace Henderson, past president of the U.S. Jaycees, told Manila Rotarians at their meeting last Oct. 29, 1953 that when people like the Rotarians and the Jaycees get together, an opportunity for service to humanity and country is bound to grow. Jayceeism, he said, has given the youth in many countries a chance to develop the principles of freedom and democracy, and Jaycees all over the world have dedicated themselves to show in a positive and active way their appreciation for the benefits of democracy. Henderson, who is on a goodwill tour of the world for the American Heritage Foundation of New York, also praised the objectives and the work of Rotary clubs, and delivered a message of goodwill for the Filipinos not only from the U.S. Jaycees but also from the American people as a whole.
