"CX" Clark did himself proud last week as host at a cocktail party at the Army and Navy Club. Guest of honor was his RCA boss Thompson Mitchell, Club visitor last Thursday. President Hans, "Vince" Bunuan, "Ben" Legarda, "George" Vargas and "Doc" Adamson were among those present. "Arsenic" Luz and "Balmy" Balmaceda are elated by the success so far of the Fair. "Charlie" Hollmann and "Pete" Teodoro wish the Fair is a year round affair. Sir "Manoling" Lim, "Pablito" Lorenzo and "Doc" Campos were conspicuous for their part in the K of C program in honor of Fathers Burgos, Gomez and Zamora last Tuesday. Business pointers were given by President Hans Menzi at a symposium in the Philippine Women's University, on the occasion of the anniversary of its college of business administration. FEU President Teodoro "Teddy" Evangelista introduced President Quirino when the latter visited the Far Eastern University Monday afternoon. UE President Francisco "Dalup" Dalupan was in the reviewing stand at the Luneta with General Calixto Duque, chief of staff of the armed forces. A review was given by the snappy UE cadets. Secretary of Commerce Cornelio "Balmy" Balmaceda inducted Tuesday noon the incoming board of the Advertising Association of the Philippines. A Rotarian, Carlos P. "Rommy" Romulo, was the recipient of congratulations and well wishes as he observed his first anniversary as Philippine ambassador to the United States. Several Rotarians are participating in the Red Cross movement in the Philippines, whose fund drive for 1953 was launched last week. They are: Dr. Francisco "Dalup" Dalupan, Jorge "George" B. Vargas, Hans Menzi, Sergio Bayan, Manuel "Manoling" Lim, and Teodoro "Teddy" Evangelista. Senator Gil Puyat played host to the U.P. business alumni association last Friday. Plans for the annual reunion of the UPBAA were taken up. Reelected president of the Manila Boy Scout Council at the annual council meeting last week was Eugenio "Pad" Padua. Other officials include Hans Menzi, second vice- president. Congratulations to the Phil-Am's Earl Carroll and Ramon "Monching" del Rosario, for its new building project on Taft Avenue.
