The Rotary Balita no. 765 (February 23, 1855)

We are celebrating today the fiftieth anniversary of Rotary International, the fiftieth anniversary of an idea so simple, so vital and so fundamental that it captured the minds of men everywhere. The Rotary idea, so well expressed in our object of Rotary and its four avenues of service is one of dedication and of challenge. This idea is observed by the Manila Rotarians and in today's meeting which marks the 50th year of its birth, our Rotary club and our members are making the expressed dedication to pursue the fundamental work that has been set by other Rotarians in the past 50 years and continue to live for the future of this great idea by being of service to Rotary, which means being of service to mankind.
