In President Remon Magsaysay, who is the year's honorary member of Manila Rotary, the Rotarians can draw inspiration from the embodiment of their ideals of service. No one in this country today could be more typical of the spirit of service above self than the new President of our Republic. Indefatigable Man of Action, Mr. Magsaysay has electrified the whole nation into renewed determination, vigor and effectiveness. "To this young nation of ours, nothing is impossible," he declared in his inaugural address. It imparts the optimism, enthusiasm and doggedness of our people under their new leader.
