First call to the 11th district conference Feb. 5, 6, and 7, 1954 in Baguio City - 5,000 feet above tropical heat / Benjamin Salvosa
Description: page 14 In: Rotary Club of Manila. The Rotary Balita No. 724 to 748Summary: December 20, 1953 GREETINGS: Big things are in store for all of us during our 11th District Conference. Aside from our plenary sessions which presage vital decisions for another big Rotary Year, there will be plenty of time for a real Baguio vacation, socials, and indoor and outdoor sports. We expect a big delegation from every Club so that we can make this year's convention the biggest the 48th District ever had. TIP TO ALL DELEGATES: February falls in the coldest season in Baguio but this can only be a pleasant novelty if you keep yourself warm. So take along your wife, and pack your woolens, including a topcoat or a sweater. The daytime temperature will be just right, and for your outdoor sports, you may include shorts in your suitcase. JUST A REMINDER: So that our Finance and Budget Committee can prepare the budget, a call is being made for the P5.00 per capita levy. In eager anticipation of your check and attendance, we wish you all in me time our best for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Rotarily yours, (Sgd.)
