No. An active member who qualifies for Senior Active membership transfer to such membership only AT HIS OPTION. HOW DOES AN ACTIVE MEMBER BECOME "AN ELECTED SENIOR ACTIVE" MEMBER, AND IN WHAT WAY DOES HE DIFFER FROM A "SENIOR ACTIVE" MEMBER? A club may, AT ITS OPTION, elect to senior active membership in the club any former member of any Rotary club who possesses the necessary qualifications of a senior active but who did not opt to transfer to such membership while a member of his former club. Such member if elected is considered to be an "Elected Senior Active" member, and would have to reside within the territorial limits of the club. A Senior Active member who transferred to such membership AT HIS OPTION, does not necessarily have to reside within the territorial limits of the club.
